Dear Readers,
We are fast approaching the end of the year 2011. We will soon celebrate the promised birth of the Saviour which had faithfully fulfilled the prophecy given by Micah (Micah 5 v 2) about five hundred years before the birth of Christ. The main purpose of Christ's ministry on earth is to announce about the coming Kingdom of God.

Celebrate the Baby
Why do we celebrate Jesus' birthday so differently from other birthdays? When it's time to honour historical figures who have a day set aside for them, we don't think about them as babies. We don't have pictures of cute little Abraham Lincoln in his log cabin in Kentucky, USA (or cute little
Nelson Mandela in his little hut in Eastern Cape, South Africa). No, we
remember him for his contributions as an adult.

See the Light of Truth
In 1982 we lived in Springs. Our neighbour, Emily Vosloo, wanted to take us to Christian City in Elandsfontein near Germiston and she was hoping that the Lord would open our ears. I said to myself in my mind that I belong to Roman Catholic but I accepted her to take us to Christian City. When we arrived there, one deaf lady told me that I must not pray to Mary. I told her that when she looks at the photo of her parents and remember that they are her parents. Full Story...

Thailand
We have all been
praying to avoid this for
11 years. It is with the saddest of hearts that I have to share this tearful news with you all. The courts in Thailand pronounced on April 5 that Pongsak (D) must spend 1 year and
4 months in jail, with the possibility of an earlier release for good behaviour. This sentence is non-appealable. The courts read their sentence and then took
Pongsak to jail. Full Story... |

Ministry to Mozambique
The highlight of this week has been the water baptismal service we held this afternoon for the new deaf church. This afternoon we baptised 12 young deaf people. When it is remembered that not all could come, this is an amazing number of people. One young girl, who has been coming regularly over the last week or so, gave her heart to the Lord today as we walked from the church to ITM for the baptismal service. She asked if she could be baptised and so we baptised her as she confessed Jesus as her Saviour. Full Story... |

Our Holiday
On 24 August 2011 we left Gauteng by car for Northern Cape to see the famous Namaqualand flowers. From Pofadder to Springbok the flowers, bright
orange, yellow, purple and white, started to be displayed everywhere even on the mountains -too beautiful to behold - all the way along the West Coast to Worcester in Western Cape, even along the
Southern Cape to
Eastern Cape. The flowers started to thin out when we entered Free State on the way home. Full Story... |
