The Deaf Youth spent a special Valentine’s Day at Col. Rowland Home for the aged Deaf and Blind in Bedfordview on Saturday morning, the 16 February 2008.

We gave a short drama. Deaf men and women were given a chance to share their precious memories of their past romances. The women were given long-stemmed roses and the men chocolates to celebrate the day. It was a great opportunity for the young and old to join together. We brought some cakes and tarts to share with them and we all had tea.

Fun was had by all. Thanks to Chantelle (H) and Kim (D) who spent many hours making cards. And to Warren Kleynhans (CODA) who filmed and took pictures.
