On 6 April 2008 we celebrated our church, DNLCEast (Deaf New Life Church East)’s 2nd Birthday. (DNLCE turned 2 years old on 2 April 2008). About 50 Deafies, including 6 children, attended the Sunday morning service, stayed for lunch (we brought our own picnic baskets) and watched a brilliant DVD, “Facing the Giants” which everybody thoroughly enjoyed.

Thanks to Nikki Kleynhans (D) who baked a big cake with “2” on it and also to Kathy Aikman (D), both of Boksburg with a lovely big cake. Rex and Marian Bothma (D) came a long way from Nigel, Far East Rand, to join us. It was a good time of celebrating and fellowshipping together with brothers and sisters in the Lord.
