Men's Breakfast

On 10 October seven deaf men joined the men’s breakfast at the Victory Church in Benoni. The message was interpreted by Wilma Chelius (daughter of Rex & Marian Bothma (D)) - fortunately not the only woman among the sea of men as there were a few other women serving the men excellent breakfast.☺

A guest speaker of Cape Town delivered the message about the all knowing God who planned everything to save the sinners. We were in the mind of God before the foundation of earth was laid. We had a blessed time of companionship with the other Christians.

Men's Breakfast

While our husbands went to men’s breakfast at Victory Church in Benoni, we, their wives, went to Zoë (a Christian book shop and restaurant) in Boksburg for breakfast. After breakfast I shared God’s Word on ‘Hope’ according to the American Daily Devotions for the Deaf with these ladies. It was a good time of sharing,
upliftment and fellowshipping.

Women's Breakfast

On 24 October, 8 of us went to the Victory Church in Benoni for the Ladies Tea. Maria & Joan, who came up from Durban especially for St. Vincent School for the Deaf’s 75th Anniversary, joined us.

The theme for the afternoon was “Woman of Faith” spoken by three
different ladies, interpreted by Wilma. Half way through we stopped for a tea break with sumptuous cakes, sandwiches and fruits. Wilma danced on the stage as a belly dancer - beautiful to behold!
