News from Deaf New Life East - Germiston
 

The highlight of 2009 was the baptism of 35 deaf people / students / children - 20 schoolchildren of St Vincent School for the Deaf, Jo’burg (4 girls on 27 March and 16 children on 23 September) conducted by Marc Kühn (D) & Frank Moran (H) (See Issues 59 + 60); 8 Deaf students of Filadelfia Secondary School, Soshanguve, outside Pretoria by Hermanus Engelbrecht (D) & Frank Moran (H) on 1 November, CLICK HERE ; 4 deaf ladies in a warm bath, South Hills by Linda Kleinscheldt (D) on 4 November; a deaf couple in the pool, Benoni on 22 November and a deaf lady on 29 November in the pool in Kensington by William Warmington (D). PTL!

Linda Kleinscheldt (D) (responsible for Germiston Bible group) had a privilege to baptize Faye Roussouw, Mary de Beer, Chantelle Heydenrych & Jessica Jacobs (photo left) in a warm bath on a cold day at Pop Heydenrych’s home, South Hills, Jo’burg on 4 November 2009.

They moved to a retirement village in Worcester, Western Cape at the end of November where they are happily living now.

After hearing about the baptism of many Deafies, Nosipho Dambuza (D) of Katlehong asked William to baptize her so William had a pleasure to baptize her in the pool of his daughter, Kirsty Muller in Kensington on 29 November.

On 6 December 2009, 4 month-old Caylen (H) was dedicated to the Lord at Deaf New Life Church East, Germiston. Her deaf parents, Dean & Colleen Thompson and their families and friends came. There were over 60 people (including 6 children) at the dedication service.

On 6 February 2010, 13 of us, Deaf ladies, went to Victory Church in Benoni for the “Victorious Women” Conference on “The Apple of His Eye” with Wilma Chelius (daughter of Rex & Marian Bothma (D) - back middle with glasses) interpreting.

It was a blessed afternoon.
