I had a breathtaking experience at the MMC (Mighty Men Conference). There were about 50 Deaf men from Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban and Worcester. On behalf of the Deaf, we would like to thank Dirk Venter (CODA) heartily for giving us the opportunity to hear God’s Word by catering for the Deaf needs. They provided us with a big screen so that we could follow the interpreters (Dirk Venter and Frank Moran) and we sat at the front left side next to the stage where Angus Buchan preached. When Angus came on the stage, he looked well and was full of energy! He reminded us that it was the last MMC on his farm in Greytown because the Lord told him to give us a message that we are watchmen of Israel / nation (quoted from Ezekiel 33:2-3 “Son of man, l speak to your people. Tell them, ‘Suppose I bring war on this country and the people of this country choose one of their men and make him their watchman. If he sees the enemy coming to attack the country, he will blow his horn to warn the people.’”) He encouraged us to tell people about Jesus Christ and to start our own men conferences in each province. The Holy Spirit moved amongst many men and most of them gave their hearts to the Lord. It was an awesome experience for all of us. Frank challenged me and other deaf men to start our own Deaf Men Conference.

May God give us wisdom to organize Deaf Men for Christ (DMC) next year! Marc Kühn(D)
