For the Deaf people
  • That God will bring about a breakthrough in the Deaf Community that will lead Deaf people to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour
  • That God will raise Deaf pastors, leaders, preachers, evangelists, church workers, etc.
  • That God will make Deaf Christians want to study the Bible more
  • Unity among the Deaf people from different Churches

For Evangelism

  • That the Gospel of Christ will spread among Deaf people
  • For Deaf Christians to witness more boldly
  • For more Alpha Courses to be held for the Deaf people
  • For Deaf Christians to keep good contacts with Deaf people

For Deaf Friendly Churches

  • For God to give clear direction for the Deaf people in Hearing Churches
  • For God’s help to make Deaf and Hearing Christians work together
  • For God’s help to make the preaching suitable for the Deaf people
  • For leaders of Hearing Churches to be more aware of Deaf people’s needs
  • For more access for the Deaf people in Hearing Churches
  • For Christian interpreters and that they will develop more skills

For General Issues

  • Christian organisations / various groups / homecells / Churches (Deaf & Integrated) / Drama Teams / Worshipping/Dancing Teams / other activities such as Living Waterfall and Outreach & Evangelisation in schools, Summer Games, Deaf Camps, Big Sports Matches, Family Christian Camp, Deaf Clown Ministry etc.

  • For Interpreters’ workshop that will enable Hearing Christians to use South African Sign Language in Christian settings.

Above all it is important to ask God to draw us closer to Him and let Him do His work through us and use us.  My prayer is that you may see God move in power and in love in the Deaf Community.
