I want to tell you about my half-sisters. About three weeks ago, I got a call on my cell and read SMS, “When were you born and tell me more about yourself as I would like to get to know you, Lynette.” I was so surprised but I know Lynette and I asked her, “Is your
surname Havenga?” and I gave her my fax number. She won’t tell me her surname. When she faxed me, she told me yes, her surname is Havenga. I was so shocked.
I told my boss that I
didn’t want to contact her and I showed my old letter from my mother’s attorney. He said I must not write to my mother or her daughters. If I write to them, he will take me to Supreme Court. My boss said that this letter was of too old news. He said he will help me solve any problem.
He phoned her and she was so happy to hear about me. She stays in Queenstown and she phoned her another sister in Pietermaritzburg. Her name is Shirley. Shirley was
excited and phoned my boss to ask how I am. She wanted a photo of myself. Very luckily he has his digit camera in his office and took a photo of me and emailed it to her. My boss said, hearing her say, “Oh lovely ... my brother.”
About two weeks ago my boss and foreman told me to go to NGK Stall Fête on Saturday to look for something to make wooden things they need. I said alright. When I arrived at NGK Fête, my boss and foreman took me to tea and cake there. I was so
surprised to see Ds Rocco Hough (H) and his wife there. They work for the deaf people. My foreman told me, “Come and look around the fête.” And he showed me another room and I saw the people there. I couldn’t believe to see all of my family there and I cried
buckets.
I was so happy to see my two
sisters and their children there but my other sister, Colleen and my mother were not there. Lynette told me that my mother
didn’t know that they visited me there. I took them to my home to chat about my- self. Shirley flew early in the morning from Cape Town and arrived in Durban at 11h00. Lynette and her children left Cape Town on Sunday morning by car for Queenstown.
Thank you Lord for bringing my family to me! I hope you enjoy my story.
Great love to all. Lots of love,
Henry. Dec. ‘08 |
